Papke, Faye
1946 – 2011
Faye Papke, age 64 years of Strathmore, AB, went to her long awaited meeting with her Lord and Saviour on June 1st, 2011. We are left to celebrate the life of one of the most generous souls God ever put on the earth. Her legacy also includes the gift of her music which is spread literally from coast to coast plus her honesty which was an inherent part of her character. She planted many seeds of belief in countless people. The most important family in her life were her beloved daughter and best friend Kari (Sid) of Strathmore and beloved son Jim (Nancy) of Regina; her dear friend and mother Joy Clayton of Kelowna (formerly Strathmore); 6 much loved grand-children, Karsyn, Rylee and Raegyn Fulmek and Destiny, Victoria, and James Williams; two sisters, Yvonne (Doug Bicknell) of Kelowna and Nola (Clare Walsh) of Yorkton and a brother David Pinder (Lee) of Strathmore; several close nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Springside, Sask., where Faye was born and raised, with internment in the family plot.
