History book named

Strathmore’s history book finally has a name. Michael Ell and Elisa Maxwell, members of the Naming Committee within the Centennial Committee were proud to announce to council that James Bos submitted the winning name for the book. Ell said there were a number of names submitted and it was difficult for them to pick just one. In the end the committee agreed upon the name 100 years of memories.  Council approved the name. The book will be out early in the new year.
 
Citizen of the Month
The Strathmore Lions Club is an essential part of the community and has a number of initiatives that help all ages. Because of all that the club does, Councillor Bob Sobol nominated them as his choice for October’s Citizen of the Month.
