Great day of golf!

Though the day began with drizzle and a temperature of only three degrees above zero, the sun came out for the 1:30 p.m. shotgun start at the fourth Annual Strathmore Montessori Society’s Charity Golf Tournament.
A fantastic afternoon of 18 holes of golf were enjoyed by all at the beautiful Speargrass Golf Course near Carseland.
As the afternoon drew to a close, golfers enjoyed a delicious prime rib dinner and were entertained by a great musical performance by vocals by Lindsay Goebel and Mike Smith on the guitar. When the scorecards were tabulated, congratulations went out to the first place team of Michelle Bean, Rhonda Trimm, Brian Trimm and
Lee-Ann Lenox.
Since 2005, the Strathmore Montessori Society has been actively fundraising to provide the specialized Montessori learning materials and teacher training integral for our Montessori classrooms at Wheatland Elementary School in Strathmore.
These items are not funded via the school budget, so the public Montessori program relies on monies raised through charitable events facilitated and organized by parent volunteers. We are again very grateful to those who supported our 2011 charity golf tournament through donations of cash and/or prizes, acting as hole sponsors or participating as golfers.
Please note the complete list of individuals and businesses located in our accompanying thank you advertisement. Thank you – the Strathmore Montessori Society appreciates your continuing support!
