Aspen Crossing will really be getting into the Christmas spirit on Dec. 3, when they hold their Winter Festival.
“We’ve had the Winter Festival before, but it was more of a market, like another Christmas Market,” said Leanna Biggar.
“This year we really wanted to make it more of a festival, so we’ve added some more activities.”
There will be free hot chocolate and apple cider to keep everyone warm while they enjoy the festivities. Biggar said Santa Claus will be in attendance, and there will be sleigh rides and carolers. People can also stock up on some homemade goodies from the Christmas bake sale, or maybe find the perfect gift from one of the vendors selling their wares.  Christmas trees will also be on sale.
“The sleigh ride is kind of nice because we’re in the country here, so they take them out and see a bit of the countryside too,” said Biggar.
“It’s just a fun day for the family.”
AM 660 will be bringing their Half Ton of Fun and Ropie the prize steer. Anyone who can successfully rope the steer wins a prize.
Everything begins at 10 a.m. and is free for the whole family. The festival will close at 5 p.m. just in time for the Lane of Lights to open up for the night.
Biggar said they are still looking for vendors to take part in the festival and anyone looking for more information can go to www.aspencrossing.com or call 1-866-440-3500.
