Area name changes approved at council

Council approved a few new names that the Names Advisory Committee had recommended during their Oct. 19 regular council meeting. The first up was the name for a new subdivision located immediately north of Strathaven. The name Heritage Heights was approved for the area. 
Greenspace located east of Park Road and north of Park Lane drive will now be known as Western Irrigation Heritage Park. 
The name Angus Spence will go into the reserves to be potentially used for a future park or street name. Spence wasw a former councillor and mayor for Strathmore who passed away in 2000.
