Still growing

The third annual WAAB Stock Summer of Rock didn’t quite draw the numbers organizers were hoping for, but they were still happy about those who made it. The three-day rock festival took place from August 20 to 22 on Jim and Andrea Dale’s acreage just outside of Strathmore.
Wideboy Generation was one of the 14 bands to perform over the weekend, and they put on a great performance according to guests of the event. Jebb Fink even came out to entertain the crowds and he teamed up with Yvonne Horne to shave the heads of those brave enough. Jeremy Kraus wowed the crowd playing his guitar and putting on an acoustic performance, which dropped a few jaws. Despite a few minor glitches with the band lineups, everything appeared to run smoothly and all of the partygoers seemed to be having a blast. It was an event for the whole family – a family that likes rock that is. Many little ones could be seen running or crawling around while their parents enjoyed the music. WAAB Stock is only going to get better as time goes on and it is definitely something everyone who likes rock, or even some who don’t, should make a point of seeing next year. Besides being a great time all of the proceeds go to a great cause, The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.
