The Strathmore Spartans high school soccer team continued their successful season with a 7-0 road win over High River on May 12.
“Strathmore dominated the game from start to finish,” said coach Wes Clark.
Eric Hansen scored three goals and teammates Derek Warrack, Ben Skuter, Josh Gilbert and Marc MacDonald each followed with individual goals.
The Spartans then improved to 4-1 on the season with an impressive 3-1 home win over Foothills Composite high school from Okotoks May 17.
Team Captain Ben Skuter scored the first goal of the game, with a great shot to the top corner from 25 yards away
Skuter’s goal was the only goal for the first half. Derek Warrack scored the second goal early in the second half. Marc MacDonald put the game away with a header mid-way through the second half.
“This was probably our best game so far this season,” said Clark.
