Parade of Nations

The Lord of All Lutheran Church held their 18th annual Parade of Nations Feb. 20 at the Civic Center.

The event featured food from 12 different countries and more than 400 people dined on different cuisine.

“We never advertise it because the tickets are sold out before they’re printed,” said Claudia Littlefair, organizer.

The countries represented include the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Russia, and Scandinavian countries.

They are chosen after a group of congregation members, usually about 170, trace their ethnic line on their father’s side.

“That gives us the number of countries 170 people represent. Of the 17 countries are group represents, 12 of them served food.”

There is always entertainment afterwards as well. This year a gentleman performed who played four different instruments and sang.
