Moving forward with the Times
Mario Prusina – Times Editor
The next time you open your Strathmore Times, you will notice something different.
From the publication date to the different paper we use, there will be a significant change here at the Times.
Since our first issue, on November 26, the Times has grown with the tremendous support of our very loyal advertisers and readers.
We are now looking to take the next step in our growth, while providing a better product for Strathmore, Langdon and all of Wheatland County.
In order to serve this community better, the Strathmore Times will become a Friday publication beginning July 9. We are excited for this change, as it enables us to deliver more of the news that happens at the beginning of the week.
To accommodate this change, the advertising and deadline for submissions will be at noon on Tuesdays instead of Mondays. This gives our advertisers one extra day to prepare after a relaxing weekend.
Beginning with that July 9 issue, the Times will be printed on the latest newspaper technology in North America, where the ink is cured by UV light providing sharper images and brighter colours. And best of all, just like our paper now, none of the ink will be able to rub off on your fingers! However, that is not the only change you will notice with the new Times. The biggest difference will be a surprise – one that you will see with the first issue. We are excited to present this change, but we’d rather show it to you instead of telling you about it.
If you have any comments about the new look Times, or if you have a news tip to bring to our attention, please do not hesitate to contact us at (403) 934-5589 or via e-mail at info@strathmoretimes.com. You can also visit us over a cup of coffee at our office, at 114 Canal Garden (in the second floor of the Trendsetter Homes building).
Remember, this is your Strathmore Times. We’d love to hear from you. We are proud to be a part of this wonderful and vibrant community and definitely proud to be locally OWNED AND OPERATED.
