Fun evening planned for good cause

It’s time once again for the Annual Harvest Dinner and Auction in support of the Community Crisis Society and Wheatland Shelter.
Auctioneer Grant Klaiber will take the stage to offer up items such as a one-hour helicopter ride, original hand-blown glass by artisan Mark Gibeau and a signed Flames jersey. This year, a special raffle of round trip tickets from Westjet will be highlighted.
Unique to the program this year will be a short performance by Edmonton actor Katrina Bray.
According to Executive Director Karen Pease, “occupancy of the shelter has increased over the past year.  In addition, our families are facing difficult economic situations and we are working on innovative ways to meet their needs.”
