On May 19, students at Trinity Lutheran Christian Academy, T.L.C.A, started an art project which will last a lifetime.
The kids took part in the Clay for Kids project creating clay designs, which will be put together in a seven-by-seven-foot mural at the front entrance of the school. The entire school participated. The use of the T shape of the cross and doves were sort of a template for the students.
“We wanted something new, or different and it might be good for the whole school to look back at it,” said Monica Major, the Art teacher and kindergarten teacher.
“The theme the students had to follow was students, parents, teachers and God because they are the things that make up the school,” said Major.
The idea was also to show the gift sthey bring, miracles, blessings and love.
On June 9, the students will paint their projects, and on June 11 they will be put the mural together. The students will not be involved in putting the mural on the wall.
