ARMSTRONG, Emma Ann

It is with broken hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved 16 year old angel, Emma Armstrong.
Emma was born on January 19, 2001 in Strathmore, Alberta to proud parents Clay and Colleen Armstrong, excited big brother Cort and proud grand parents Ben and Terry Armstrong and Jack and Judy Hoglund.
Emma was raised in Hussar, Alberta and attended playschool to grade 6 in Hussar School. She then went to Crowther Memorial Junior High in Strathmore and then on to Strathmore High School.
Emma was involved in many sports such as hockey, curling, figure skating, baseball, badminton and one of her all time favorites was water skiing, surfing, knee boarding and tubing.
Emma started playing hockey in Hussar at the age of 4 and continued playing in Hussar until she was 10 years old. She also figure skated in Hussar for many years. Emma played girls hockey in Strathmore from the age of 11 to 16. Emma was a fierce competitor, a natural leader and the best chirper on her hockey team!
Emma was loved by everyone that came in contact with her, from young children to older people, she had a world of patience. She had the kindest heart and many young kids, cousins and classmates looked up to her.
Three of her great grand parents had the pleasure of spoiling Emma, Great Grandma GG (Dorthy Smith), Great Grandma Olive Leslie and Great Grandma Annabelle Armstrong.
A celebration of Emma’s life was held at Our Saviors Lutheran Community Church in Hussar, Alberta on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 1:00pm.
