Freda Newbon passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the age of 96 years.
Freda was born in Calgary, AB, and resided in Bridgeland for a large portion of her life. Freda later met her husband Ray who she was married to for fifty-eight wonderful years. She supported Ray and his construction and carpentry work while raising their son Raymond. Freda enjoyed gardening, crocheting, making things from scratch and will be remembered as being a good cook. She will be greatly missed by all her family and those who knew her.
Freda is survived by her son Raymond and daughter-in-law Paula Newbon of Standard, AB; Grandchildren Ashley Newbon and Matt Archer of Bonnyville, AB, Raelene Newbon and Chris Henshaw of Strathmore, AB, Alaina and Kane Weiwel of Carseland, AB; as well as her great-grandchildren Cole, Sienna, Brayden, Urijah, Skylar and Nixon.
Freda was predeceased by her beloved husband Ray; her sisters Pauline, Anna Marie, Violette; and her brother, Victor.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery, Calgary, AB. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
