BLAND, Koreann

The light that shone so bright, the love that spread so much joy, the fighter that inspired us all, has left us too soon. It is with broken hearts we announce that Koreann Bland passed peacefully surrounded by the love of Don and her girls on June 17, 2016. Her beautiful life began on December 15, 1964, she spent the next 51 years living her dreams, inspiring others to achieve theirs, and most importantly, loving her amazing daughters. She leaves us far too soon, and is survived by her soul mate, Don Bland, daughters Katelin Bland, Kylea (Jim) Civello. Her parents Celeste and Dolton Cashmen and John and Berniece Bland. She was predeceased by her grandparents Dean and Louella Waymen. Koreann lived and loved such an enormously successful life, her accomplishments would fill this newspaper! Every person she met, was left with a sparkle and a smile because of the amazing energy she carried and left in her wake. Koreann and Don travelled all over the world, enjoyed life’s finest pleasures, travelled and lived first class ALL THE WAY!!! Her favourite place was “Pair-o-dice” (their lake retreat on the shores of Lake Mara). They loved to share and make new memories with their friends and families, always the most generous host. She loved home decorating and renovating, putting together the most fabulous outfits and making the worlds best home cooking. She was affectionately known to the girls friends as Momma B because she was the one that many of them turned to for comfort, advice, support and always a great laugh and boost of positivity. Koreann’s passion to help others reach their goals and live their dreams, was carried out professionally with her work as a Financial Advisor at ATB Financial. For over 20 years, she was an inspiration, a role model, a superstar and most importantly a friend to all. In lieu of flowers and donation, our wish is that you create a memory with your loved ones and keep it closer to your heart in honour of Koreann. Please join us to celebrate her and thank her for the impact and awesome-ness she has had in all of our lives. In true Koreann style, she wants us all to wear bright colours and our favourite shoes! A celebration of Koreann’s life was held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Strathmore Civic Centre at 2:00 p.m. To send condolences, please visit Koreann’s obituary at www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca.
