HENKE, Brenda Bernice

Brenda passed away on Sunday January 23, 2011 at the Drumheller Health Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. Brenda was born in Calgary on February 1, 1959 and grew up in Bowness. After graduating from Springbank High School she moved to Rockyford. Brenda is survived by her husband David; children Kim (Ward) Drydale, Tyler and Brad; two grandsons, Ryder and Trace; her parents, siblings and a large extended family. She was pre deceased by her grandmother, Phyllis Bernice Clements (GG). Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Rockyford at 7:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2011 also at St. Rita’s at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honour of Brenda, directly to the ALS Society of Alberta (#250, 4723 – 1 Street SW, Calgary, T2G 4Y8) or to the Drumheller Health Centre Palliative Care (351 – 9 Street NW, Drumheller, T0J 0Y1).
