Christina was born on June 7, 1927 on the farm in Saskatchewan and passed away on November 19, 2011.  She is survived by her sons Tony (Jane), Chuck (Lois), and Allan; daughter Linda; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Val, Connie, Otto, Norman and Robert; and sisters Trudy, Agnus, Vickie, Katie and Viola.  Chris was an active member of the Gleichen Ladies Auxillary and was an avid golfer and card player.  She moved to Gleichen in 1955, then to Strathmore in 1989, and to Calgary at Mayfair Lodge in 2009, where she passed peacefully in her sleep.  Chris was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2003; her parents Peter and Genevieve Dewald; brother Tony; and four sisters Mary, Betty, Verna, and Barbara.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Lord of All Lutheran Church, Strathmore, at 12:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association (204 – 2323, 32 Ave NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3).  To send condolences, please visit www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca.
