Hall, Stanley Scott

Life’s journey for Stanley Scott Hall of Stony Plain, Alberta came to an end on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 56 years. Born in Calgary, Alberta on September 16, 1954, Stan was the youngest of four children born to Gordon and Irene Hall. Stan attended school in Gleichen and Cluny, After graduating, Stan went to Olds College taking Agriculture Mechanics. Later he became a journeyman welder holding many tickets. He farmed in the Namaka area for a few years later pursuing his career in welding, which took him to Ft. McMurray to work for many years. Stan is survived by his two sons, Clayton (Dallas) of Calgary, Mitchell of Calgary and his son Lindon; sister Patricia (Stu) Fraser of Nanaimo, B.C.; nephews Stu (Erin), Darryl (Kayli), Rod (Tora); sister Lynn (Ray) Brinson of Spruce View, Alberta, niece Dena (Greg) Linnell, nephew Scott (Angela) Brinson; sister Janice (Bill) Book of Stony Plain, nieces Jessica (Karl), Jennifer (Jim), and Ashley and nephew Travis Book; nine great nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by his father Gordon Hall in 1988 and mother Irene Hall in 1997. Stan loved his sports and was a loyal fan to the Calgary Flames. He also had a love for animals, especially horses, in his younger years. At Stan’s request, there will be no funeral service, but rather a memorial tea will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Dianne Brown’s Country Farm House (Range Road 221) Cluny between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made directly to the Gleichen Arena & Curling Club (P.O.
