GULLIVER, Edna Louise

 
Edna Louise Gulliver (nee Kelly) passed away on October 31, 2010 at the age of 95 years.  Edna was born in a shod shack on her father’s farm near Bethune, Saskatchewan on May 15, 1915.  She worked for a time with Sears in Regina.  In 1942, she joined the RCAF and her last posting was on the Queen Charlotte Islands where she met her sweetheart, Harold.  They were married in August, 1946.  Harold’s job had them moving throughout the Province of Alberta, finally ending up in Strathmore in 1969 where they have been for the last 40 years.  In December, 1961, both Edna and Harold joined the Order of the Eastern Star in Electa Chapter #10, Alix, Alberta.  They travelled throughout Canada and the United States from 1972 to 1985.  Edna is predeceased by her parents, John and Hannah Kelly; brother George; sister Mabel; and brother-in-laws Bob Gulliver and Hugh Berry.  She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harold; daughter Linda (Terry); son Daryl-Gully (Gerry); two grandchildren, Tyler (Marcella) and Meghan; one great-granddaughter, Anabella; sister Jean; and several nieces and nephews.  A private family memorial will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.  An informal celebration of Edna’s life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Strathmore Travelodge, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to S.T.A.R.S.
